Hades (disney) ponified

Description

I don't know a lot about greco and roman gods. But I'm pretty sure that Hades is the god responsible for hell, and related to death (even if he's not the direct cause).

What I DO know is that his representation in the Disney movie Hercule is one of my favorite villain of all time for several reasons:

His design is wonderful, and if you look at it part by part you realize it's freakin scary ( fire hairs, sharp teeth, mad eyes) but together and coupled with perfect facial expression you get a unique character that you'll keep in your memories for ever.

His personality is also memorable. He's a god, maybe one of the most powerful, can even turn another god into a mortal, and what's his main "weapon": evil plans. He's not just like someone powerful who use his powers, in fact he know he is powerful, but he also know he is smart and use this quality to his advantage. But he's not without rules, if he makes a deal he respect it (even if it means losing), and he barely use his power, often relying on other (willing to help or not); In fact, he seems to use them as a last result as if he was too good for that.

And finally his acting, the way he turn on fire when he's in rage, and reveal himself as a savage beast, while he seems more cunning and refined all the time, talking with assurance of cosmos reorganization like he's talking business, makes him stands out.

Don't know if it should be in my "death incarnation" topic, but it sure is a drawing I was willing to do.

He ran the Underworld

But thought the dead were dull and uncouth

He was as mean as he was ruthless

And that's the Gospel Truth.

He had a plan to shake things up

And that's the Gospel Truth!
